Summary

In 2025, we accelerated our transition toward a battery-powered future, placing cordless innovation at the heart of our mission to meet the demand for low-emission equipment. Our commitment to the environment is further reflected in our focus on mulching technology, promoting chemical-free maintenance that protects soil biodiversity. Guided by science-based targets and climate accountability, we continue to evolve through technological excellence and operational efficiency to ensure a sustainable impact on the planet.

Transition to electric

STIGA is currently undergoing a fundamental business transformation, pivoting from traditional internal combustion engines to advanced battery-powered gardening solutions. The Group’s commitment to this transition is underscored by its strategic resource allocation, with 92% of total R&D investments in 2025 dedicated to battery technology and cordless solutions, a significant increase from the 78% allocated in 2024. This intensive focus supports the ongoing shift in consumer preference toward lower-emission equipment, which resulted in battery-operated products growing to represent 27.2% of total sales during the reporting period.

2025 Result: 27.2% of products sold were electric or battery-powered.

Mulching

STIGA continues to prioritize the advancement and adoption of mulching technology as a primary environmental initiative for responsible lawn care. The Group remains committed to its permanent target, established in 2022, of ensuring that “mulch-ready” products consistently account for more than 80% of total lawn care sales to support chemical-free maintenance and soil biodiversity. This commitment is reinforced by a multi-year research partnership with the University of Padova that concluded in 2024, which consolidated scientific evidence that mulching leads to a 60% reduction in chemical fertilizer requirements.

2025 Result: 88% of sold products were mulch-ready.

Carbon Footprint

STIGA is advancing its climate accountability by maintaining a comprehensive greenhouse gas inventory across its operations and value chain. In 2025, the Group formalized its commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), with the goal of developing science-based reduction targets aligned with limiting global warming to 1.5°C. While higher production volumes led to a 4% increase in absolute gross emissions, reaching 1,015,677 tCO2eq, the Group’s operational efficiency improved. This progress is reflected in a lower carbon intensity, and the entire inventory methodology has been verified under the ISO 14064-1 standard to ensure maximum transparency.

2025 Result: 2,000 tCO2e/M€ (CO2 Intensity).
