We want to do more with less, using green energy, increasing self-production and complying with both the highest international standards and internal procedures. We diligently protect both Company data and consumer data.
Cybersecurity
We work to ensure strong cybersecurity and personal data protection by investing in servers and networks. The goal is to keep state-of-the-art safety standards and minimise issues and data breaches. Despite our strong security measures in place, we did experience 1 breach in 2023, but there was no evidence of data exfiltration or data loss. We engaged a cybersecurity expert to manage the incident and we restored the affected server within a month.
2023 Result: 1 unsuccessful breach, with no information stolen or compromised.

Green Plants and Offices
We had in mind a goal to reduce our energy consumption per unit of volume produced and increase self-produced and purchased renewable energy. Specifically, we sought to increase the percentage of renewable energy compared to 2022 (71%). In 2023, we invested in renewable energy certificates in all offices where it was possible, allowing us to ensure 96% of our electricity comes from green sources, a significant increase from 2022. The installation of solar panels at the production plant in Italy at the end of 2023 will provide 1,030 MWh of expected energy savings annually starting in 2024.
2023 Result: 96% of electricity consumed by all plants and offices came from renewable sources.

Group Carbon Footprint
A new project was initiated in 2023 to calculate the carbon impact of STIGA. Our overall goal is to analyse and inventory the greenhouse gas emissions of the entire Group, including mapping upstream and downstream processes. We will complete our baseline carbon footprint calculation by the first quarter of 2024 and also formalise a process for data collection for an effort that will be carried out annually.
2023 Result: We gathered data on Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions from across the entire Group.

“Assessing our carbon footprint is one small step in the journey we are on to improve the future of our planet. This has excited me the most from the beginning: a chance to make a difference by understanding the areas where we can reduce our impact on the climate. Then, with this information, we can start implementing emission reduction projects and, drop by drop, our efforts will add up to a sea of change.”
Andrea Fogo, QHSE System Engineer
Responsible Supply Chain
A new project announced last year is STIGA’s intent to be proactive when engaging with suppliers. We began to collect information on the supply chain to ensure alignment with our Code of Ethics and goals for a responsible and sustainable supply chain. We surpassed our initial goal to engage at least 50 of the top 100 suppliers through Sedex platform 2023.
2023 Result: By the end of 2023, we enrolled 87% of our top suppliers in Sedex or an accepted equivalent platform.
