About the Job:
We are looking for a Harware & System Engineer to join our Robotic Team for our HQ located in Castelfranco Veneto.
ACCOUNTABILITY AND OBJECTIVES:
- Responsible for delivering reliable and efficient robotic systems while ensuring the quality, safety, and functionality of hardware and subsystems. You will actively contribute to achieving project targets in terms of product performance, quality, and timing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess HW system requirements and design of company’s robotic products
- Design HW Architecture, Schematics, PCB layout
- Develop HW solutions (e.g.):
○ Design, develop, and optimize hardware architectures based on embedded Linux systems.○ Develop and test hardware solutions incorporating GNSS technologies.
○ Implement and validate connectivity modules, including LTE, WiFi, and BLE, for robust communication.
○ Battery Management System
○ Motor Control
- Fast prototyping of HW prototype;
- Bring up and debug prototypes using a wide range of techniques and tools
- Ensure designs meet regulatory standards (e.g., CE, FCC, and EMC compliance).
- Collaborate with development partners and contract manufacturers (domestically and worldwide)
- Ability to work efficiently with suppliers and to support technical gate reviews processes
- Ensure that the definition, storage and revision of technical specifications area managed and released in timely and proper manner.
Skills & qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical background
- Degree in Electronic/Information Engineering discipline.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in embedded systems
- Expertise in GNSS systems, including multi-frequency and RTK solutions.
- Experience with LTE, Wi-Fi, and BLE module integration and performance optimization.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience with LTE, Wi-Fi, and BLE module integration and performance optimization.
- Strong skills in PCB design, layout, and simulation.
- Familiarity with embedded processors (e.g., ARM Cortex) and communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet).
- Knowledge of power management techniques and battery-powered system design.
- Experience in functional safety concept & technical safety concepts
- Experience in electronics hardware design for battery product and motor controller
- Ability to plan and estimate development tasks
- Good knowledge of Mentor / Altium design software
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
LANGUAGES:
- Knowledge of Italian and English is mandatory
