This achievement – not a final goal, but rather a starting point for further strengthening STIGA’s culture of inclusion – demonstrates the company’s concrete dedication to valuing diversity and creating a workplace where every employee feels respected and supported in their personal and professional development.</p>
<p><strong>Gender Equality and Corporate Strategy: A Structured and Tangible Commitment</strong><br />
The attainment of the Gender Equality Certification marks a concrete step within STIGA’s broader ESG strategy, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. As a member of the UN Global Compact, the company adheres to the United Nations’ principles promoting ethical, inclusive, and sustainable business practices. Gender equality lies at the core of Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5), which aims to eliminate inequalities and ensure equal opportunities for all. Through this certification, STIGA reaffirms its active role in contributing to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda, integrating concrete actions in support of a fairer and more inclusive world.<br />
“The Gender Equality Certification is a significant milestone that reflects our commitment to creating a workplace increasingly centred on inclusion and people,” comments Angela Manzoni, Senior Vice President Group Legal &amp; HR and Head of Equal Opportunities for the Group. “At STIGA, we believe that wellbeing, work-life balance, and equal opportunities are essential drivers of individual and collective growth. This recognition is not an endpoint, but a step along a path we will continue to pursue with determination to promote a true culture of inclusion and employee wellbeing.”</p>
<p><strong>Employee-Centred Initiatives at the Core of Company Strategy</strong><br />
STIGA has already implemented numerous policies aimed at employee wellbeing, showing a tangible commitment to building a fairer and more sustainable working environment. Among the most noteworthy initiatives is the company welfare portal “STIGA 4 You!”, which offers employees in Italy a package of services and reimbursements for school expenses, care for dependent family members, and access to sports, educational, and cultural activities.</p>
<p><strong>Work-Life Balance and Supportive Policies</strong><br />
Achieving a balance between private and professional life is a key element of STIGA’s strategy. The company has introduced several measures to support this balance, including a solidarity hours bank – allowing employees to donate leave hours to colleagues in need – and voluntary supplementary contributions to the pension fund. Employees can also convert overtime into leave hours and benefit from a dedicated leave allowance for specific medical appointments.<br />
Particular attention has been given to supporting parenthood. Through its Parental Policy, STIGA provides tangible support for employees with children: the company tops up the 20% INPS allowance, ensuring up to 100% of salary for 8 months (covering compulsory maternity leave and parental leave) and 50% for the following 3 consecutive months of parental leave. Reimbursements are also provided for maternity-related medical expenses, including obstetric-gynaecological check-ups, diagnostic tests, and postnatal psychological support. Via “STIGA 4 You!”, employees can be reimbursed for nursery fees, summer camps and babysitting services, while the corporate platform offers discounts on family-related purchases.</p>
<p>To further support work-life balance, STIGA has developed tailor-made smart working policies for parents of children under three, ensures flexible working hours, and offers the possibility to arrange personalised part-time contracts based on individual needs.</p>

<p>The Castelfranco Veneto brand will be the club’s official partner for the next three championships, starting from the 2022-2023 season, when the STIGA logo will be seen on the uniforms of the first team, youth team and the Red Panthers.</p>
<p>This collaboration once again demonstrates STIGA&#8217;s commitment to promoting the region, both at a national and international level, following the company’s sponsorship of the City of Treviso Tournament in May. The new deal represents a partnership between two Venetian success stories with shared values. <h3><strong>A record year for the STIGA Group, which saw its sales in 2021 rise by 9% above the European market average. That’s just one of the key figures to emerge from the Group’s 2021 annual financial statements, approved by the Board of Directors on 22 April. </strong></h3>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The STIGA Group closed 2021 with revenues of €573 million, an increase of 28% compared with €448 million in 2020, significantly higher than the European market average growth of around 19%. EBITDA grew significantly, up by 39% compared with 2020. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the last two years, the industry has seen a significant shift in consumer behaviour, with a greater focus on the home and garden, a trend expected to continue. Some consumers have purchased gardening equipment for the first time, while others have decided to invest in high performance products which help them to maximise enjoyment of their outside space. STIGA’s growth in 2021, 9% above the market average, shows that compared with its key competitors the company not only increased volumes sold to existing customers but also gained important market share. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another key factor driving the STIGA Group’s performance in 2021 was its increase in research and development investment and the consequent expansion of its product range. In 2021, STIGA earmarked a record €15 million in capital expenditure for research and development, an increase of 25% versus 2020. The company’s strategy in the medium term is to build on this investment to position itself in </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">smart, sustainable gardening</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">; shifting from its mechanical product foundations and evolving into a Group with digital and connected technology, sustainable power sources and energy-efficient features at its core. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The cornerstones of this strategy are the introduction of new products, such as the STIGA Stig robot range, which is entirely Italian designed, sourced and manufactured and protected by over 30 patents; ensuring battery-operated options throughout the entire range; entering into new categories, such as the handheld segment; and consolidating the company’s leadership role in its core segment, namely products for mowing the lawn. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Significant events in 2021 in terms of investment in research and development included the renovation of the company’s Italian and Slovakian production plants, as well as the launch of new specialised factories (for robot lawn mower and electric batteries) at the main facility in Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso). STIGA is therefore continuing to invest in European job creation, adding value to the communities leveraging on the manufacturing expertise and technological capabilities of local workforces.</span></p>

<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Our business is undergoing significant change that might even be seen as revolutionary,” </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">commented Sean Robinson, CEO of the STIGA Group since 2019.</span> <i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The gardening market has always been relatively stable, with limited technological innovation. However, in the last three years there has been a gradual and irrevocable move away from petrol engines to battery-powered machines. This reflects a fundamental change in both product technology and in how products are used by consumers. People want considerably less noise, less weight, no smell and for products to be made from the right materials, in other words new machines that are more sustainable. The positive results posted by our Group </span></i><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">– the increase in our market share thanks to the introduction of new technologies – show that this has been the right approach to adopt, and our prospects are bright for the future.” </span></i></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A final factor to highlight is the comprehensive multichannel approach to sales adopted by the Group in 2021. Last year STIGA grew its business in all distribution channels. While specialised dealers are and will continue to be the Group’s principal sales channel, significant growth was seen in large-scale retail trade, as well as in B2B and B2C sales channels, laying the groundwork for further development in 2022. Major efforts were also made in the recruitment and training of sales and service teams across Europe. </span></p>

<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“2021 was a highest result on record and it marks the start of an ambitious journey for our Group” </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">concludes Sean Robinson. “</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Over the next four years we plan to maximize our significant growth potential. We’ve just formulated our strategic business plan 2026, which includes a new breed of consumer-driven solutions and technologies, more digitalisation of our products, solid investments in marketing innovation, as well as new channels distribution development, all of which are driving sustainability into our business. With this bold project we want to leave an important mark, with the utmost respect for the environment, people and the planet&#8221;. </span></i></p>

<p>It has been a great start to the week for STIGA employees, who received an upbeat message from Group CEO Sean Robinson. After a difficult year, he thanked each one of them for the essential contribution they made to a successful 2020 – and announced an extra bonus.</p>
<p>Despite the Coronavirus crisis and subsequent lockdowns, the Group went from strength to strength. As one of the leading brands in the gardening industry, with headquarters in Castelfranco Veneto (TV) and subsidiaries around the world, STIGA has had to overcome numerous obstacles throughout the year.</p>
<p>This success is down to a combination of factors. On the one hand, the Company’s management had to react quickly and put in place rigorous safety measures – such as anti-Covid protocols aligned to those from different governments; smart working for all office employees, and constant communication with employees, suppliers, health authorities and, of course, consumers.</p>
<p>On the other hand, there&#8217;s been the inspiring attitude and approach of STIGA’s employees. They&#8217;ve been resilient, dedicated and respectful – reacting in the best possible way and adapting to unexpected situations. Above all, they have achieved the most important target of all: there has not been a single contagion inside STIGA’s premises, offices or plants.</p>
<p>Looking ahead, STIGA has set ambitious targets for 2021. The belief is that the strength and enthusiasm shown by employees in 2020 will be even more vital as the Group faces the challenges of the ‘new normal’ to seize the opportunities that lie ahead.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Starting August 2020, STIGA Group’s Executive Management Team can count on two new strategic figures, with a proven expertise from international Companies: Alexander Francke, new Senior Vice <strong>President Sales of the Group and Giacomo Tesolin, new Senior Vice President Marketing of the Group.</strong></p>
<p>Together with the recent organizational changes in Operations, Research &amp; Innovation and Purchasing, these two resources represent a step further in the path started in 2019 by Sean Robinson, CEO of STIGA Group, towards an internationalisation of the Company, the construction of new processes and structures in all departments and a whole new approach, from product development to sales strategy and brand.</p>
<p><em>“I’m delighted to see that once again we are attracting to STIGA great talents from international Companies – </em>said <strong>Sean</strong> <strong>Robinson, CEO of STIGA Group</strong><em> &#8211; And we also have the opportunity to lift up some of our most interesting talents within the same organization. <p><strong>Alexander Francke</strong>, is a German Senior Executive, who developed his career within major global players of their respective business sectors and boasts an important leadership background in Asia and Europe. After significant experiences in L’Oréal and Bolton, Alexander contributed to the great development of Fiskars, where he covered several executive roles, up to managing the business in Emea.</p>

<p><strong>Giacomo Tesolin</strong>, Bocconi and Stanford alumnus, is an Italian Marketing Executive, back to Italy after 10 years abroad and with a broad experience in the whole span of marketing activities, done by covering various roles at International level, mainly in two of the most reputed Companies within the consumer sector: Unilever and Philips. For the latter, he worked in the past two years as Senior Marketing Director for Philips Sonicare, driving the digital transformation and brand management, focusing his attention on a wider plan aimed to develop digital marketing and the related e-commerce business.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">STIGA  would like to convey its appreciation to Laurence Raven. His leadership, talent and expertise have been a great asset to the Company in his time as Chairman and we are pleased to have his continued involvement as a Director of the Company.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rainer Schmueckle is a German citizen, graduated in MSc, Industrial Engineering, University of Karlsruhe.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He has been extensively involved in the international mechanical industry through the various executive and board positions he has held over the past 25 years.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He was previously COO of Daimler Group/Mercedes followed by COO and CEO positions with Johnson Controls and MAG Industrial Automation Systems.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition to STIGA he is non-executive director in several leading companies.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thanks to his experience he will make a major contribution in defining the initiatives that STIGA intends to implement in its strategic plan.</span></p>

<p>STIGA Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Robinson as its new CEO, replacing Georg Metz, who is retiring from the Company after 10 years as CEO and more than 40 years in the industry.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">In addition, Sean will be appointed <strong>Chairman</strong> of the Board of Directors of STIGA S.p.A. and <strong>Executive Director </strong>of STIGA C and STIGA S.A. boards.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;"><em>“For 10 years Georg has been an outstanding leader of our business. 										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last January, STIGA Group donated 61 chainsaws for wood recovery to the Civil Protection of Region Veneto, to support the population in Belluno, hit by the flood the previous autumn.</p>
<p>Today,<strong> the Group has delivered 10 chainsaws of its own production to Giuseppe Lomoro, chief of the Fire Brigade of Treviso</strong>, as further support to the communities that were hit by the flood in 2018: these machines will support the restoration activities of the wooded areas of the territory and the recovery of wood, given the enormous work that still needs to be done in the coming months.</p>

<p>Also attending the ceremony, were the <strong>Prefect Laganà, the Mayor of Castelfranco Veneto Marcon and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso and Belluno Mario Pozza</strong>, who stated: “<em>I want to thank STIGA for this further donation of chainsaws to the fire department. But also, I want to emphasize, for their commitment towards culture, with the support given to the “Gambrinus Giuseppe Mazzotti” award. </em></p>
<p><em>STIGA represents an excellent entrepreneurial example and has demonstrated once again the attention paid to the territorial context and to the community, always responding with sensitivity to the events that hit the territories, such as the Vaia storm.&#8221;</em></p>
